OTRS (Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement System) will be hosting an in-person informational session at Union for employees who are within five years of retirement (or anyone interested in attending for planning purposes).
Save the date for the Home, Health and Safety Fair on Thursday, March 27 at the UMAC, sponsored by the Union PTA Council and the Tulsa Oilers. The event, which is free and open to the public, runs from 10 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
The last day of school for Union Public Schools will be Friday, May 23.
The Union Board of Education approved the change along with other schedule changes – including using three built-in snow days and adding 16 additional minutes to the school day beginning March 24 – in order to make up lost instruction due to the six days students missed school due to inclement winter weather.
Campus Life
Jim Douthat, assistant principal for Student Life at Union High, challenges students to "become the 6th Man or Woman in someone’s life."
Union senior Katherine Cambranis, and president of the Union High School's Business Professionals of America organization, has started a Go Fund Me for national competition in Orlando, Florida this May.
